Holy Family University has partnered with the nation’s largest scholarship and success program for immigrant youth, TheDream.US, to help more Dreamers achieve their college and career goals.

This year, Holy Family will welcome six new TheDream.US scholars to campus: four transfers from Cabrini University, which closed last spring, and two new scholars). TheDream.US aligns with the mission of Holy Family, which is ranked as a Tier 1 institution for “Top Performers on Social Mobility.”

The two new scholars starting their academic journeys at Holy Family are part of the 2024-2025 cohort of TheDream.US scholars — nearly 1,400 new scholars across the country attending more than 80 institutions.

“At Holy Family University, our mission is centered on inclusivity, access, and the transformative power of education,” said HFU President Dr. Anne Prisco. “By partnering with TheDream.US, we are proud to extend opportunities for Dreamers to pursue their academic and career goals. This partnership allows us to welcome talented and driven students who will contribute to the diversity and richness of our community. We are committed to supporting all students on their journey to success, and this collaboration reflects our dedication to fostering a supportive and equitable environment for all.”

“We are proud to partner with Holy Family University and our other partner colleges to support talented Dreamers’ pursuit of higher education and career success,” said Gaby Pacheco, President and CEO of TheDream.US. “As our recent Alumni survey and our ongoing body of research demonstrates, a college degree is an essential part of the upward social mobility of Dreamers and enhancing our broader national prosperity in the process. For example, TheDream.US scholars have graduated at consistently higher rates than their college peers, and 63 percent of our alumni are now out-earning their parents’ combined incomes. We are sure the individual scholars who make up our newest class at Holy Family University will join their fellow TheDream.US scholars and alumni in demonstrating why expanding opportunities for Dreamers is so beneficial to our nation and why we remain so committed to supporting these talented students’ access to a college degree and career pathways.”
