GMercyU’s Erica Brace One of Just Eight Students in State to Receive McLean Scholarship for Nursing
Gwynedd Mercy University’s Erica Brace is one of just eight students across the state to receive the prestigious McLean Scholarship for Nursing and Physician Assistant Majors for the 2024-25 academic year, according to a staff report from GMU.
The scholarship is awarded through the Association for Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania (AICUP).
“I applied for this scholarship because I felt it was a good fit, as I have a high academic standing and proven leadership roles at GMercyU,” said Brace, a senior. “I also had great support from GMercyU faculty.”
Dr. Jane Tang, Dean of GMercyU’s Frances M. Maguire College of Nursing and Health Professions, assisted Brace in completing her application.
“This scholarship is a gift to my education, as it allows me to focus more on academics and less on financials,” said Brace. “Overall, this scholarship will help further my academics and future nursing career.”
The McLean Scholarship, established in 1998, was designed to support full-time undergraduate students who exhibit outstanding leadership and academic achievement.
