A new Barnes & Noble store will open its doors on September 4 at the Barn Plaza in Doylestown, writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
The new location will showcase the new design being used in the most recent Barnes & Noble stores, featuring the best of books, toys, games, and gifts the national bookseller has to offer.
“It’s been 16 years since we’ve opened a new Barnes & Noble in this area,” said James Daunt, Barnes & Noble CEO. “Now this grand opening marks one of 10 Barnes & Noble bookstores to open their doors in September alone.”
The company has been experiencing tremendous growth recently after deciding to hand over control of its bookstores to local booksellers.
“Encouraging booksellers to adopt a mindset where they cater to their friends, their neighbors, their readers — it allows us to create stores that draw from and give back to the community,” said Daunt.
The Doylestown location will be located in a new 11,300-square-foot space at the heart of the Barn Plaza.
Barnes & Noble has two more stores in Bucks County, in Falls Township and at the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem.
