Renowned virologist and co-founder of the Pennsylvania Biotechnology Center (PABC), Dr. Timothy M. Block, will host a special event in Doylestown on September 26 to discuss his new book, “Curing Disease from the Ground Up: How to Operate a Biotechnology Business Incubator,” writes Jeff Werner for the Patch.
The event, held at the PABC’s Doylestown location, will feature a presentation by Dr. Block, followed by a Q&A session and a book signing.
The book details the unexpected success of the PABC, a life sciences business incubator that Dr. Block launched in 2006.
Now one of the nation’s leading biotech hubs, the PABC is home to nearly 100 companies and plays a critical role in the local economy.
Book royalties will be donated to the Hepatitis B Foundation, which Dr. Block co-founded with his wife.
Following the presentation, guests are invited to a reception with refreshments, offering a chance to engage with Dr. Block and the local scientific community.
