Council Rock Newtown continued their impressive run in the Little League World Series, securing a decisive 12-2 victory over South Hill.

Council Rock Newtown continued their impressive run in the Little League World Series, securing a decisive 12-2 victory over South Hill Little League from Puyallup, Washington, on Sunday, writes Paul Vigna for Penn Live.  

The Mid-Atlantic Region champions exploded with 12 runs in the first three innings at Lamade Stadium, sealing the win under the mercy rule. 

Greyson Gage led the charge, driving in three runs with two hits, while Gavin Caudill and Tyler Wexler added key RBIs.  

The game started strong with a 4-0 lead in the first inning, which grew to 6-0 by the second. A six-run third inning, highlighted by Gage’s triple, solidified their dominance. 

Council Rock Newtown now advances to face the loser of the Mountain vs. West regions game on Tuesday at 3 PM. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN. 

South Hill was eliminated from the tournament, while Newtown’s victory keeps their championship hopes alive in this highly competitive series.
