The Council Rock Newtown Little League U12 team is just one victory away from earning a trip to the Little League World Series, writes Jeff Werner for The Patch.  

Representing Pennsylvania, they dominated at the Mid-Atlantic Region playoffs in Connecticut, crushing Washington 13-1 and Maryland 11-1. 

These wins push their streak to 17 games and secure their place in the Mid-Atlantic Region Championship, airing Friday, August 9, at 3 PM on ESPN. 

Their journey began with an undefeated 8-0 District 30 season, followed by a flawless 3-0 Section 6 run.  

At the state level in Newville, they clinched the State Title with a 4-0 record. 

Most players have been together since elementary school, starting their All-Star careers at 10U. After finishing as PA State Runner-Up in 2023, they are now poised for a World Series shot.
