Seventeen of the nation’s best employers for women are in the Greater Philadelphia Area, and one of them is in Delaware County.
Forbes named SAP in Newtown Square to its 2024 list of America’s Best Employers for Women, writes Lisa Dukart for Philadelphia Business Journal.
The list ranks 600 companies in America. Forbes surveyed more than 150,000 women at companies with at least 1,000 U.S. employees to come up with is list.
In the Philadelphia region, GSK came in highest, placing 57th nationally.
SAP’s U.S. headquarters in Newtown Square placed second highest, with a national ranking of 77. The multinational software company fell a few places compared to last year, when it placed 65th..
The interviews looked at whether an individual would recommend their current or previous employer to others, along with ratings on work environment, pay equity, parental leave, and how workplace sexual misconduct and discrimination is handled.
The surveys, prepared in partnership with Statista, also looked at the number of women in executive and board positions.
The number of Philadelphia-area companies that made the 2024 list jumped by four. Last year, 13 local firms were ranked.
