Santina’s Italian Pastry Shop Set to Sweeten Newtown Township This Spring

Santina’s Italian Pastry Shop by Nino’s is gearing up to bring a delightful array of Italian pastries to Newtown Township.

Santina’s Italian Pastry Shop by Nino’s is gearing up to bring a delightful array of Italian pastries to Newtown Township, with plans to open its doors at the Village at Newtown South in the coming months, according to NewtownPANow.

The venture is spearheaded by Jane Mendello and her husband, Nino, who are not new to the world of baking.

The entrepreneurial couple first ventured into the bakery business in 1996, launching Nino’s Pastry Shoppe on Quakerbridge Road in Hamilton Township, located in Mercer County.

This initial foray proved successful, and now the Mendellos are eager to extend their culinary expertise to Newtown Township.

According to a report from the Patch, the Mendellos are targeting a launch date for Santina’s Italian Pastry Shop sometime this spring or perhaps early summer.

Previously, this location housed Smoothie King, which had been serving the community since 2013 but closed its doors, leaving a prime spot for the Mendellos’ new endeavor.

With a proven track record and a passion for pastry, the couple is poised to turn Santina’s Italian Pastry Shop into the new sweet spot in town.
