Tyler Mansion in Newtown Township was built in the 1930s for George and Stella Elkins Tyler. It is the grandest home ever constructed in Bucks County and is one of the last “great estates” ever constructed in the country.

The 300-foot-long mansion with 60 rooms and several towers along with Tyler Formal Gardens was placed on the National Register of Historical Places in 1987.

Visiting the site that is now part of the Bucks County Community College campus is a true step back in time to an era of elegance.

Henry Mercer’s Fonthill Castle in Doylestown was built by Henry Chapman Mercer between 1908 and 1912. He used the home to showcase his collection of famed Moravian tiles. The building is a mix of Medieval, Gothic, and Byzantine architectural styles.

The Mansion At Andalusia in Bensalem is among the finest examples of Greek Revival architecture in the nation. It was inhabited from the 1790s until the 1970s, and today it stands as a National Historic Landmark.
