Bucks County commissioners are singing praises for Project SEARCH, which helps neurodivergent individuals find internships, writes Tom Sofield in Levittown Now.

Participants with developmental disabilities can work closely with a team of family members, instructors, job trainers, and behavioral health staff from the Bucks County government to enhance their employment skills.

“I think that it’s cool that we get to be in a building where not a lot of people like us get to go,” said one of the interns, Sophia, who processed marriage certificates at the Register for Wills Office.

Last month, Bucks County Commissioners recognized Neurodiversity Celebration Week

Commissioners Bob Harvie and Diane Ellis-Marseglia emphasized the importance of the county’s partnership with Project SEARCH and its impact on the community.
