During a routine grocery trip this week in Perkasie, one lucky shopper won $1.6 million, writes Mac Bullock for the Daily Voice Northampton.

State gaming officials confirmed that this fortunate individual secured a jackpot by matching all five numbers in the Cash 5 with Quick Cash game’s drawing on Tuesday, April 2.

The Weis Market located at 431 Dublin Pike is also celebrating, as it will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket, according to lottery representatives.

The identity of winners remains confidential until they come forward to claim their winnings and their ticket undergoes official validation.

Winners have a one-year window from the date of the draw to claim their prizes. Winning tickets should be signed immediately on the back.

This Perkasie ticket is one of many recent lottery winning tickets in the region.

In January, another lucky Bucks County player won a $451, 760 ticket from Southampton’s 7-Eleven along Street Road.

In late 2023, a Morrisville patron won $2.7 million from the Match 6 lotto with a ticket bought at a tobacco shop on West Trenton Avenue.
