Justin Allen, of Horsham, had a truly memorable surgical experience when an earthquake occurred in the middle of his procedure.

Justin Allen, of Horsham, had a truly memorable vasectomy experience earlier this month, writes David Chiu for People

On the morning of April 5, Allen was at a urology office in Huntingdon Valley when a rare 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck around 10:30 AM local time.

Allen recalled that everything “started totally normal” when he got to his appointment at 10 AM.

“About midway through the surgery, the walls started shaking,” said Allen. “I definitely assumed it was a train passing or something not out of the ordinary for that office but the surgeon kind of stopped for a second and said, ‘That’s gotta be an earthquake, right?'”

Allen at first thought it was a joke, but then the length and the overall feeling convinced him it was real. His doctor put down his surgical tools until the shaking stopped.

“We laughed because it was a situation none of us would ever forget,” said Allen. “We all have a story to tell for years to come.”

Allen immediately posted about his experience on Twitter/X and his post soon went viral with over 50,000 likes and more than six million views.
