West Bristol holiday meal mainstay, Georgine’s restaurant and banquet hall, is up for sale, writes Michael Tanenbaum for The Philly Voice.  

The current listing price for the four-acre property at 1320 Newport Road is $3.8 million. 

The family-owned restaurant was established in 1977 and named after the owners’ mother. The 47-year-old restaurant was heavily frequented on major holidays, often drawing up to 800 patrons.  

According to the real estate listing, the owner plans to retire. Georgine’s continues to be in operation six days a week and will retain its original staff along with the sale.  

This will not be the first business under the Georgine’s brand to go up for sale. Two years ago, Georgine’s Jr., a small takeout business, was purchased for $800,000.
