Sean Connolly, a Levittown-raised TikTok famous teacher in Bethlehem, is popular for his educational remixes of popular throwback songs, writes Beatrice Froman for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

His spin on “Shake It Off” by Taylor Swift helps students count by eights. Usually, the covers help students with math and arithmetic, but for Red October, Connolly is repping his home team.

Connolly, a lifelong Phillies fan, has since amassed 871,000 views of his version of “Dancing on My Own.” The song was originally released by Swedish pop singer Robyn and later covered by Calum Scott.

The first verse, “We’re taking October with Harper and Schwarber, ohhh” refers to first baseman Bryce Harper and Homerun slugger Kyle Schwarber.

The song closes with “Rojas is giving it his all, with daycare from Marsh, Stott, and Bohm. Trea deserves a standing O! Phillies gonna bring it home.”

Inspiration struck Connolly after the Phillies beat the Miami Marlins in the wild-card series. It took him 45 minutes to write the song, and he hired a singer through the freelancing platform Fiverr to perform it.

The video was an instant hint, but 37-year-old Conolloy, otherwise known as “Teach with Mr. C” is no stranger to viral fame.

He says that if the Phillies make it to the World Series, he plans to release an extended cut of his own version.
