The Angelo Pizza and Abruzzese are teaming up for a new venture at Pineville Tavern with a grand opening on April 4, writes Marilyn Johnson for Philly Grub.  

This collaboration, rooted in three generations of culinary tradition from Baltimore’s Little Italy, brings together Angelo’s renowned pizzas and Abruzzese’s specialty in ravioli.  

The tavern will offer a mix of Italian delights, including Angelo’s pizza sauces, homemade ravioli, classic sandwiches, cheesesteaks, wings, and egg rolls.  

To celebrate the opening, the first 35 customers on April 4 will receive free pizza. 

The partnership was inspired by the success Angelo’s pizza garnered after a positive review from Barstool Sports’ Dave Portnoy in 2020, leading to an expanded operation with Abruzzese’s support.  

The takeout store will operate daily from 4 to 10 PM, while The Pineville Tavern, , serves lunch and dinner from 11 AM to 9 PM.  

The menu will feature both red and white pizzas, with sizes ranging from 12” to 18”.
