Just a couple months after opening its newest hotel, Philadelphia-based Method Co. is set to open a new Mulherin’s Pizza on East Market Street in Center City, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal. 

Plans call for Mulherin’s Pizza to open by early April on the ground floor of The Girard, a mixed-use building that houses a location of Method Co.’s extended-stay hotel brand, Roost East Market.

The pizza shop will be a sister concept to Method Co.’s Wm. Mulherin’s Sons’, which opened in Fishtown in 2016. A greater focus will be placed on pizza than the original. 

Other menu items will include handmade pastas, vegetable-forward small plates, draft and craft cocktails, and Italian wines.

In early February, Method Co. held a soft opening of its new Roost Apartment Hotel in East Falls. 

“There’s really not a great hotel around there, in the whole [City Avenue] or East Falls area. So, we think that we’ll do great on the daily business, but we also think that we’re going to do very well on the corporate longer term stays as well,” David Grasso, co-founder and president of Method Co., said.
