DelVal is celebrating 10 years of Summer Youth Programs. Kids U! and Inspire U! are weeklong on-campus specialty summer camps and programs, where over a thousand local kids and teens participate in epic fun and next-level experiences each week. Kids come to campus, make new friends, and learn to master something new.

“We level-up the summer camp experience. At DelVal, we have the perfect blend of fun, friendship, voice, and choice! When kids and teens spend the summer on our campus, they build their schedule, and explore what they choose!” said Youth Programs Coordinator Barrie Saias. “It’s a win-win.”

Kids U! campers ages 5-14 will have fun playing, learning, and collaborating with educators and industry pros. They can choose to code and fly drones, work in a lab, interact with animals, program robots, build their own business, perform in a show, discover virtual reality, learn a new sport, explore nature, and other exciting hands- on STEAM and Sport activities.

“This summer we are delighted to expand our performing arts selections, including a 2-week theatrical production ‘Let’s Put on a Show’, ‘Broadway Dance’ and ‘Dance Camp’ among other fun selections,” said Saias.

Inspire U! Teens ages 14-18 will interact with other teens, faculty, and industry pros in a real-world campus learning environment. This summer, high-school students will have an opportunity to explore areas of study like Physician Assistant, Veterinary Science, Public Safety Careers, Wildlife and Zoo Science and Equestrian Management.

“This gives teens a chance to network and explore careers on a college campus, as they build their resumes, essays, and college applications. This summer we are excited to offer Physician Assistant (PA) Exploration Academy, an opportunity to learn from faculty and practicing clinicians about PAs, allied health occupations, and career pathways,” Saias said.

Parents whose kids or teens participated in the program say that their child liked the variety of programs, the focus on science, and hands-on experience.

Amanda O’Connor, who holds a master’s degree from Delaware Valley University, said she was thrilled with the Kids U! Summer Camp after enrolling her two children, ages 5 and 7.

“The variety of fun and educational activities kept our children engaged and excited every day. The camp offerings allowed our kids to try activities they were interested in before committing to a whole season. Our daughter discovered her love of performing during the weeklong theater camp.  It’s refreshing to see our kids try unfamiliar things while making new friends and getting outside every day.

The knowledgeable and upbeat staff members were fantastic, making the whole experience not just educational but also incredibly enjoyable. We couldn’t be happier with how expertly the program is run, and our kids can’t wait for camp to start again this June, our 3rd summer!” she said.

DelVal’s summer youth programs are fun, affordable, interactive, hands-on adventures and there are 90+ selections to choose from this summer 2024!

Kids U! camps (ages 5-14) and Inspire U! teen programs (ages 14-18) take place right on DelVal’s pristine campus all summer-long. Every visit to their campus is energetic and hands-on, immersing kids and teens in awesome activities in their classrooms, labs, and outdoor college grounds.

“Participants of all ages get to enjoy all elements of our sunny campus and return each summer to connect with friends and try something new!” said Saias.

All on-site camps and programs are full day, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with Extended Early and After Care programs available. Online tech camp courses are available as well; descriptions include dates and times. Registration is open now, and seats are limited.
