Jason Kelce’s love for Philadelphia is no more evident than it is in the passion he puts into his apparel brand Underdog Apparel, writes Laura Swartz for Philadelphia Magazine.

The much-loved Philadelphia Eagles player started the company based in Narberth in 2022 to celebrate his adopted city and to benefit important city nonprofits.

On the company’s website, it says, “We believe Philadelphia is the best city in the world.”

Kelce said he started Underdog Apparel to celebrate Philadelphia’s relentless Underdog spirit by selling products designed and made in the city.

All proceeds from the gender-neutral line including t-shirts, hats, and bags go to Kelce’s (Be)Philly Foundation which supports youth programs in the city like Coded by Kids and Heights Philadelphia.

Kelce’s mission statement according to Philadelphia Magazine is:

Underdog is a mentality. Underdog embodies the true Philadelphia spirit. Beat up but never beaten, disadvantaged but never defeated. Counted out, written off, but always believing we have the chance to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat…This city owns this spirit…

Underdog has collaborated with many local artists on products for the brand. The most recent collaboration was on a sweatshirt designed by local artist Eric Kenney to pay tribute to the resilience of Eagles fans.
