Penn Community Bank, the largest independent mutual bank in eastern Pennsylvania, has been recognized as one of America’s Best Regional Banks 2024 by “Newsweek.”

“We are deeply honored to be recognized by ‘Newsweek‘ as one of America’s Best Regional Banks,” said Jeane M. Vidoni, President and CEO of Penn Community Bank. “Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and this award reinforces that our focus on building personal relationships and providing best-in-class service is making a real difference in people’s lives.”

“Regional banks play a pivotal role in the financial fabric of communities nationwide,” said Nancy Cooper, Global Editor in Chief of ‘Newsweek.’ “Unlike their larger counterparts, these institutions are deeply rooted in local economies, understanding the unique needs of the people they serve. These institutions become familiar in the neighborhood; they offer a sense of trust and community that resonates with account holders.”

“In an era where digital advancements can overshadow personalized service, regional banks and credit unions stand out for their customer-centric financial services,” said Cooper. “These institutions prove that a community-centered approach can redefine the banking experience.”

Conducted in partnership with leading data research firm Plant-A Insights Group, the 2024 America’s Best Regional Banks list was produced following a survey of over 35,000 individuals, 140,000 reviews, and an evaluation of various marketing and financial data of nearly 10,000 regional banks and credit unions across the country. In total, only 250 financial institutions were selected for this year’s list.
