Craig Berube, a New Hope native and former Stanley Cup-winning coach for the St. Louis Blues, is actively looking to return to NHL coaching, writes Anit Kumar for Sportskeeda.

Despite his midseason departure from the Blues, Berube has expressed a strong desire to continue coaching.  

“I want to coach again. I enjoy it. I want to get back in the game,” he said. 

He especially noted the allure of coaching for a team like the Toronto Maple Leafs, highlighting the special nature of Canadian hockey markets. 

“It would be an honour to coach there for the Toronto Maple Leafs, if that ever happened. It’s (one of) if not the best hockey market in the world. A great organization that does everything they can to try to win.” 

Berube, who is currently spending quality time with family in the Philadelphia suburbs, is not considering retirement.  

The NHL veteran is eager to find a new team that aligns with his direction and goal of winning another championship.  

This intent has made him a strong candidate for NHL teams seeking experienced and successful leadership.
