Editors Note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly identified Doylestown as the farm’s location.
Howe Turkey Farm, in Downingtown, Chester County is a second-generation family enterprise renowned for sustainable and humane turkey farming since 1988, is taking pre-orders for the holiday season, writes Emily Kovach for PAeats.
The farm, deeply committed to ethical practices, ensures each chick is raised in a stress-free environment within their comfortable barns, nourished on a healthy diet, and harvested with the utmost respect and dignity.
This year, the farm offers a diverse range of sizes to cater to varying needs. Customers can select from small 4-pound turkey breasts to substantial birds over 30 pounds. Unlike many grocery stores, Howe Turkey Farm also provides smaller-sized turkeys, addressing the needs of those preferring a more modest feast.
To secure a turkey, customers are required to place a $20 deposit, with the balance payable upon pick-up.
