The Comcast Center features concepts from some of the city's top culinary extraordinaires.

The Comcast Center in Center City features a nice selection of restaurants, and it’s part of a grand vision for the corporation, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal

The roster of restaurateurs responsible for the food establishments features five James Beard Award winners.

They are Greg Vernick of Vernick Coffee Bar and Vernick Fish; Jose Garces of Buena Onda; Marc Vetri of Pizzeria Salvy; Stephen Starr of Cafe Click; and Jean-Georges Vongerichten of JG Skyhigh and Jean-Georges Philadelphia.

“In a city where we have an incredible culinary culture and talent, it’s really great to have all of these chefs and restaurateurs here on campus and creating a destination and a great wide variety of restaurants and experiences for anyone who is here,” said Karen Dougherty Buchholz, Comcast’s executive vice president of administration.

Those are just a fraction of the food options available at Comcast.

While each restaurateur helps each other and the city’s overall culinary scene, Comcast’s goal of continuing to expand remains at the forefront.

“We will never sit still, and we never are comfortable. It’s always about evolution,” said Buchholz.

Expect to see more food establishments in the coming months and years.
