Perkins on York Road has been an iconic Warminster mainstay for casual dining, but on Tuesday it suddenly shut its doors, writes Dino Ciliberti for The Patch.

The hub for a family breakfast outing, celebratory dinner, or spontaneous dessert came into the Warminster dining scene in 1983.

According to a post on the Warminster Community Group Facebook page, employees said they were only notified of the closing right before lunch was served.

A sign posted on the door directs hungry patrons to the location on 1681 Grant Avenue in Philadelphia which is also operated by the Warminster owners.

For those looking to stay in Bucks County for their next Perkins fix, the location in Doylestown is still up and running.
