Maintenance and Relief Officer — Norristown

This position is responsible for water treatment plant operations when the Plant Operator is absent and performs related duties such as assisting with repairs to and maintenance of equipment and facilities like centrifugal and positive displacement machinery, transducers, recorders, and others. Other duties include performing calibration and routine maintenance of control systems including troubleshooting and diagnostics, maintaining the appearance of facilities and grounds, and receiving and distributing chemicals in accord with safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent with working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, computer theories, applications, and hardware configurations. Candidates should have a thorough understanding of the distribution system network and working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and safety practices.

Water Utility Person — Yardley

This position requires the inspection the installation of water mains, valves, fittings, fire hydrants, water services, and sewer mains, among other utilities. This position’s responsibilities include ensuring the facilities are installed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and contracts, locating, operating, and repairing company facilities, and collecting and evaluating water samples. Other duties involve investigating and diagnosing hydraulic variations that may adversely impact system operations.

The ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent with construction/inspection experience. Candidates must have a working knowledge and understanding of contracts covering the installation of water and sewer mains, valves, fittings, fire hydrants, and water and sewer services, among other utilities. Candidates must possess geographic knowledge of the company’s service area and distribution system, as well as piping networks, basic fluid and flow principles, and basic electrical theory. Additionally, candidates must be willing to obtain CDL and Backhoe qualifications within 12 months of hire.
