Bucks County Community College’s Growth in Enrollment Amid National Boost in Undergraduate Students

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic colleges like Bucks County Community College are spiking in enrollment.

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, undergraduate enrollment has spiked significantly, and schools like Bucks County Community College‘s growth are to thank for the boost, writes Susan Snyder for The Philadelphia Inquirer.  

The school saw a 10.3 percent jump in undergraduate certificate students, mirroring the nearly 10 percent boost nationally, according to the Chronicle of Higher Education.  

In addition, Bucks County Community College saw a 23.1 percent increase in dual enrollment, boosting overall enrollment slightly between 2021 to 2022.  

Overall college enrollment nationwide jumped 2.1 percent which equates to 160,000 students.  

According to a survey from The Philadelphia Inquirer, twenty colleges in the Philadelphia region saw slightly more than half had a boost in overall enrollment.  

Other nearby community colleges, such as Montgomery County Community College, and Delaware County Community College also reported jumps in enrollment.
