Family Service Association of Bucks County Holds Annual ‘Drive for Youth Golf Outing’

The Family Service Association of Bucks County offers help to individuals in need who are facing many different kinds of challenges.

The Family Service Association of Bucks County recently held its annual “Drive for Youth Golf Outing” at Jericho National Golf Club in New Hope to raise funds for its youth programs, writes Nick Iadonisi for 6abc.

“We do so many varied programs, all of them with the mission of helping individuals really when they’re struggling through life,” said Julie Dees, CEO of the Family Service Association of Bucks County.

The organization offers help to individuals in need who are facing many different kinds of challenges.

“Mental health crisis, substance use, we do a lot of family strengthening programs,” said Dees.

And one of the more fun parts of the job for both staff and volunteers is stepping to the green each year to support the youth.

“Been at every one of these golf outings for 24 years,” said volunteer Lou Altomari. “The funds raised through this golf outing are surely spent on our future, our youth.”

The organization hopes to see the event continue to grow so it can better support the youth programs for Bucks County residents.
