Newtown’s Crossing Vineyards & Winery has the perfect dessert wine to uncork this autumn, writes Marilyn Johnson for Philly Grub.

The Chocolate Cherry Truffle port-style wine has a complex flavor profile of dark chocolate blended with notes of black cherry, ripe plum, and toasted oak.  

The rich wine can be chilled or poured at room temperature. Although described as a “dessert in a bottle,” it can be complemented with any meal.  

Founded in 2000, the vineyard is a family-operated business that boasts many awards. The vineyard is a twelve-year winner for Best of Bucks. It has recently won the Traveler’s Choice Award in 2022.  

The winery, located on a 200-year-old historic estate, hosts wine tastings for groups and special occasions. The winery hosts an abundance of public events including live music and the upcoming trick or treat for grown-ups, trivia night, and other wine tastings.
