During this fun-for-most-ages show, murder is afoot and it’s up to the audience to not only determine whodunnit, but also choose who the victim is.

The Newtown Theatre will present “Whose Crime Is It, Anyway?” – a murder mystery with a twist – on Nov. 2 at 8 PM.

During this fun-for-most-ages show, murder is afoot and it’s up to the audience to not only determine whodunnit, but also choose who the victim is. Using Gamiotics, a web-based technology, audience members will vote during the show, thereby choosing the action on stage.

With each vote, the performers will need to improvise their way into whole new scenarios, whether it be a new character or a whole new time period (and quick costume changes!).

Every scene produces more choices for the audience…who will the detective question next? Was the motive jealousy or a soured business deal? Audience members build the case while the actors try to solve it.

With 10,000 different possibilities, the same show will never be performed twice. This hilarious, fast-paced romp turns improvisational theater on its ear by putting the audience completely in the driver’s seat.

Tickets are available here for $32 per person or $27 for theatre members. Any remaining tickets will be sold for $42 at the door on the night of the event (if available). This show is recommended for anyone age 10 and up.
