3 Philadelphia Colleges Rank Among Top 100 Best US Universities
Three Philadelphia schools placed among the 100 best colleges in the nation for 2024, according to the latest U.S. News Best National University Rankings.
To find the best colleges nationwide, U.S. News evaluated almost 1,500 four-year bachelor’s degree-granting institutions on 19 key measures, including graduation rates, first-year retention rates, Pell graduation rates, peer assessment, and student-faculty ratio.
The University of Pennsylvania ranked highest in sixth place with an overall score of 95. The Ivy League school has an average 6-year graduation rate of 96 percent. Penn has a total undergraduate enrollment of 9,760 with tuition and fees of $66,104.
Next is Temple University at No. 89. The public institution got an overall score of 66. It has an average 6-year graduation rate of 76 percent. The total undergraduate enrollment is 24,106. Its in-state tuition and fees are $21,095, while out-of-state tuition and fees are $35,956.
The list is rounded out by Drexel University at No. 98 with an overall score of 64. The school has a total undergraduate enrollment of 12,482 and tuition and fees of $60,663.
