A swift early pace pushed Downingtown West past Neshaminy Friday 42-17 in Pennsylvania high school football action on Sept. 8.

Downingtown West opened with a 28-17 advantage over Neshaminy through the first quarter.

Defense ruled the second quarter as the Whippets and the Redskins were both scoreless.

Downingtown West roared to a 35-17 lead heading into the final quarter.

The Whippets got the better of the final-quarter scoring, finishing the game in style with a 7-0 edge.

Recently on Aug. 25, Neshaminy squared off with Kensington in a football game.

Central Bucks West sprints past Quakertown

Central Bucks West grabbed a 40-20 victory at the expense of Quakertown on Sept. 8 in Pennsylvania football action.

The first quarter gave Central Bucks West a 13-7 lead over Quakertown.

The Bucks’ offense jumped in front for a 27-14 lead over the Panthers at the intermission.

The Indians opened a close 14-7 gap over the Patriots at halftime.
