C&N, a leading financial services company across Pennsylvania and New York, recently donated $20,000 to the North Penn YMCA under the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).

The North Penn YMCA was established in 1955 and has a long history of providing programs and services for children, teens, seniors, families and those with special needs in the North Penn, Indian Valley, and Perkiomen Valley communities. They service 21,000 members at three facilities located in Lansdale, Harleysville, and Franconia Township.

This donation will be used for pre-K programs for children ages two through kindergarten. North Penn YMCA offers pre-K programs that help children learn the essential skills they’ll need later in life. Their state-licensed programs offer excellent staff-to-child ratios as well as age-appropriate curriculums.

Pre-K program activities include: language development, creative play, pre-reading/pre-math skills, social skills, character development, arts and crafts, large motor activities, cooking & science and swimming.

“We are proud to be a partner with C&N Bank and appreciate the support they provide to youth and families in our community,” said Bob Gallagher, the CEO of North Penn YMCA.

On hand to present the check and represent C&N were Blair T. Rush, the President of C&N’s Southeast Region, and Dan Hines, VP, Senior Commercial Lending Relationship Manager, C&N & President, North Penn YMCA Board of Directors.

“C&N has a long-standing commitment of supporting the communities it serves,” Rush said. “The high-quality early childhood education programs offered at the North Penn YMCA foster a child’s desire to learn and are essential to the future success of our communities.”
