Central Bucks High School East was ranked one of the best schools in the region.

Central Bucks High School East is one of eight schools across Greater Philadelphia to be awarded the 2023 National Blue Ribbon by the U.S. Department of Education earlier this week, writes Ryan Sharrow for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Nationally, 353 schools were recognized with this prestigious award.

“We are incredibly proud to share that our own CB East was among this select list recognized by Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona as a multiple National Blue Ribbon Awardee, first in 2002 and now again in 2023,” said Central Bucks Superintendent Dr. Abram Lucabaugh.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program each year recognizes up to 420 schools for their overall academic performance or progress in closing achievement gaps among their student subgroups.

“The honorees for our 2023 National Blue Ribbon Schools Award have set a national example for what it means to Raise the Bar in education,” said Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona.

He added that the schools’ leaders, educators, and staff “continually inspire me with their dedication to fostering academic excellence and building positive school cultures that support students of all backgrounds to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.”
