KO, one of Bucks County’s most popular dining establishments, has announced that they will be closing at the end of the week.

The popular Asian fusion restaurant located at 2817 South Eagle Road in Newtown, announced that it will be closing its doors on Sept. 3. According to the owners, who wrote about the closure on Facebook, the location’s lease was up and they decided not to renew.

An Asian fusion restaurant, KO has specialized in “Modern Korean Cuisine” for over ten years. The location once housed Oishi, another fusion eatery owned by the same people, that focuses on Korean, Japanese, and Thai dishes.

Now that the restaurant is closing its doors, KO’s staff will be moved to both Oishi in Newtown and Omiza in Doylestown, with a new look being planned for Oishi.

“We’ve been honored to serve Newtown the last 10 years, it’s been a wild ride and we’re sad to see it end,” the owners said online. “We want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts, it was an honor.”
