River House at Odette’s in New Hope has landed at the top of Travel + Leisure’s 2023 rankings of the ten best Mid-Atlantic resorts, writes Emma Dooling for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Bucks County resort managed to beat out a Jersey Shore hotel that has camped out at the top spot since the list’s inaugural ranking.

River House at Odette’s first showed up on the list last year when it immediately climbed to third place. The $60 million hotel features 36 rooms and two extended stay suites, along with a piano lounge featuring live music and a rooftop bar inspired by the 1970s.

It opened in September 2020 at 274 River Road.

The name of the resort along the Delaware River is a homage to actress and musician Odette Myrtil Logan. She acquired the property in 1961 and started operating a cabaret named Chez Odette’s.

According to Travel + Leisure, readers called River House at Odette’s “beautifully decorated” and “professionally staffed.” They also described it as having an “over the top” atmosphere.
