The work on phase one of construction of around 600 luxury apartments at the Oxford Valley Mall in Middletown, which could revive the once thriving Bucks County retail mammoth, is progressing at a good pace, writes JD Mullane for the Philly Burbs.
So far, the developer has broken up a 20-acre parking lot and regraded it, finished the four-story elevator and towers, and placed foundations for one of the two large apartment buildings.
Villanova-based CornerstoneTracy, which is building the Oxford Valley Mall Apartments, said that the first 391 apartments will be done by March 2025.
The complex will offer studio, one, two, and three-bedroom units, each with a gourmet kitchen. Some will have balconies, and some will have so-called faux balconies that have no room to sit.
The apartment complex will be Green Globe certified, which means it will incorporate sustainable construction amenities in its design. This includes eight acres of green space and a mile of sidewalks that connect to stores at the mall.
The apartment complex will also have a shuttle to the nearby Woodbourne train station, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.
