The storm should have little to no impact on the area.

According to Michael Silva, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in New Jersey, residents of Bucks County should not worry about Tropical Storm Bret, writes Liam Price for the Philly Burbs.

The storm is likely to bring heavy rainfall and intense winds and waves to the Caribbean before the end of the week. On Tuesday morning, the storm was over 1,100 miles east of the Lesser Antilles islands.

But Bucks County should be safe.

The long-short of it is that it probably isn’t “going to impact Bucks County, said Silva. “Right now it’s pretty much just out in the mid-Atlantic.”

According to the Weather service forecast, Bucks County will see rain showers most likely on Thursday and Friday, but Silva noted that this rainfall will be part of ongoing weather patterns that are unrelated to the storm.

“There’s high pressure to the north and a different storm system that’s developing over the mid-Atlantic area,” said Silva. “That system is going to slowly work its way up the Northeast, and that’s what’s going to be bringing us rain late this week and over the weekend.”
