Two Montgomery County bike trails are among the twenty best scenic trails in the Philadelphia region, according to Philadelphia Magazine.

Both Perkiomen Trail and Valley Forge National Historical State Park made the list.

Bike enthusiasts who are looking for a day-long ride should head out to Perkiomen Trail. Most of the path is between ten and twelve feet wide with a crushed-stone surface. During your trek, you will ride through open fields and wooded hillsides.

The trail is 20 miles long and connects Lower Perkiomen Valley Park, Central Perkiomen Valley Park, and Green Lane Park.

Meanwhile, Valley Forge National Historical State Park is for those who just want to enjoy a few hours of easy biking close to nature. The park offers 19 miles of authorized biking trails, many of which are flat and unpaved. If you are looking specifically for a paved trail, head for the 8.7-mile Joseph Plumb Martin Trail on the south side of the park.
