The proposed dealership's plans have been put on the back burner for the time being.

After months of planning and grand announcements, plans for a new car dealership in Bucks County have been put on pause. Dino Ciliberti wrote about the paused plans for the Upper Southampton Patch.

Due to issues that came up during the demolition process, the long-talked-about Tesla dealership in Warminster is being shelved for the time being.

Officials from the township said that the applicant, who had received a demolition permit, worked on the site in ways that were not in compliance with the township. Namely, several dust plumes, as well as crews working on Sunday, were the main issues that caused the project to be paused.

The proposed location would have been set up at the long-closed Pathmark on York Road, directly across the street from Archbishop Wood Catholic High School. With this additional delay in planning, the future of Bucks County’s first dealership from the Elon Musk-run car company remains uncertain.

As electric vehicles continue to be a massive hit amongst Bucks County drivers, many are anxious to know when the dealership may be opening.
