The Bucks County government recently acknowledged the efforts of law enforcement officials in and around the area.

In honor of Corrections Officers and Employees Week, Bucks County officials gathered together with officers from around the county to commend them for the work they do year-round in institutions of law and corrections. Commissioner Robert J. Harvie, Jr. was in attendance.

Two local officials were recognized for their work. Officer Mario A. Hernandez was awarded Officer of the Year, and Sergeant Andrew J. Beck was awarded Supervisor of the Year.

“Congratulations to them and thank you to all Department of Corrections employees!” the local government said on their official social media page.

The county’s government, whose administration building is headquartered at 55 East Court Street in Doylestown, regularly hosts events honoring members of the community. This latest one is a prime example of how the area and its officials honor those who are working to keep the community safe.
