The bridge is located in upper Bucks County.

A bridge that is often used by hikers and bikers to get to the D&L trail along the Delaware River south of Kintnersville has closed temporarily, writes Josh Popichak for Saucon Source.

The towpath is also closed temporarily at the Lock 20 Narrowsville Vehicle Access at mile marker 46.73, according to Charles Stonewall of the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor.

“The purpose of this closure is for public safety due to the replacement of the vehicular bridge,” said Stonewall. “Trail users should turn around at the closure and not attempt to get by it.”

The pull-off adjacent to the bridge often used for parking by visitors is also closed until further notice.

The closed bridge and parking area are located at the Narrows, a stretch of the Delaware where cliffs tower several hundred feet above River Road and the river. Nearby trailheads can be found at Ringing Rocks, north of Upper Black Eddy, and just south of Riegelsville, at the intersection of Route 212 and Route 611.
