A popular water ice chain from Bucks County is releasing a new product for those who need a pick-me-up this spring and summer. Michael Tanenbaum wrote about the new item for Philly Voice.

Rita’s Italian Ice is preparing for the coming warmer days by adding another line of frozen drinks to its lineup – this time with a caffeine fix.

The company debuted its new cold brew frozen coffees earlier this week. The coffee drinks are available in three flavors: original cold brew, mocha, and caramel. Each coffee drink is made with the chain’s vanilla ice and custard.

According to Rita’s, the addition will be available at all of its locations for a limited time. The chain tested its cold brew frozen coffee last year in a limited number of stores before deciding to expand the offering for this year.

“Being in the business of frozen treats, launching an indulgent and better frozen coffee that differentiates from every other frozen coffee product out there was second nature for us,” said Brianne Barket, Rita’s director of product development.
