Learn About Lenni Lenape History at This Bucks County Nature Center

The event will teach attendees about the rich history of the Lenni Lenape.

An upcoming educational event will teach visitors and local residents of Bucks County about the area’s original inhabitants.

Churchville Nature Center, located at 501 Churchville Lane in Churchville, will be hosting an open house of their Lenape Village, an area of the center that harkens back to when the Lenni Lenape Native Americans lived in the area. The tour will take place on April 23 from 10 AM – 12 PM.

The center teaches guests about the fauna and flora of the Bucks County area, as well as important historical events that took place int he area. The Native American’s legacy is still felt to this day, with many areas still bearing Lenape names in honor of their rich history.

“Come learn more about the life of the Lenape, including shelters, clothing, cooking, games and more,” organizers of the event said online.

This event is free to the public, and no registration is required.
