The athletic department will include the sport for the upcoming season.

The Holy Family University Department of Athletics has announced the addition of baseball as its 18th NCAA Division II varsity program, effective for the 2023-24 academic year.

This follows the launch of five new varsity programs over the past year–acrobatics & tumbling, men’s lacrossewomen’s bowling, and Esports (coed).

Baseball becomes the 14th sport that Holy Family competes in within the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) among the 17 that it offers. Last year, Holy Family University launched a state-of-the-art Esports Center, and plans are underway for a brand-new fieldhouse, scheduled to open this summer.

“This is an exciting time at Holy Family with the sustained growth of our athletic department,” said Holy Family University Director of Athletics Tim Hamill.

“This growth allows the university to continue its tradition of developing student-athletes that will learn discipline, preparation, strategic thinking, and teamwork in their respective sports with their peers at an even larger scale. We look forward to welcoming our first-ever baseball class to our campus in the fall.”

Prospective student-athletes interested in being recruited for baseball can contact the Director of Athletics at thamill@holyfamily.edu or complete the prospective student-athlete form.
