Croydon Firefighter Remembered For His Service to the Bucks County Community

A firefighter from Bucks County is being remembered for his years of dedication tot he safety of those living in the area.

George Sottung, an Active Life member, Past Captain and Insurance Trustee of the Croydon Fire Company, recently passed away after working for the department for a number of years.

“This is a very difficult time for our members and his family,” the fire department said online. “We ask that everyone keep us in your prayers as we process this loss.”

Services for Sottung will be held at the fire company on April 13. A viewing will be from 9 – 11 AM, with a service at 11 and then burial at sunset cemetery.

Founded in 1918, the fire company has been keeping Croydon and its surrounding areas safe for over 100 years. Members like Sottung have worked to save lives and keep the community out of harm’s way.
