Doylestown, pictured above, is one of the most popular towns in Bucks County.

A recent study was able to show how Bucks County ranked in general health compared to other areas in the state of Pennsylvania. Researchers at County Health Rankings wrote about the results.

Bucks County ranked #8 out of the other 66 counties in the state. Factors that determined the ranking included length of life, quality of life, health behaviors, clinical care, social and economic factors, and the physical environments people live in.

Chester County ranked at #1 while Philadelphia ranked at the bottom at #67.

“Health Outcomes tell us how long people live on average within a community, and how much physical and mental health people experience in a community while they are alive,” the researchers said online.

Recently, a study from Life Extension Magazine was able to determine how each state in the United States ranked in life expectancy. Pennsylvania ranked #31 among all the states. According to the study, Pennsylvania residents generally live to the age of 76.8.
