Langhorne Nonprofit Receives $5,000 Grant from The Walmart Foundation

The local nonprofit received a major grant in order to help local families.

A nonprofit in Bucks County recently received a large grant from a major organization that works to help local groups helping others.

The Family Service Association of Bucks County, located at 4 Cornerstone Drive in Langhorne, recently received a $5,000 from The Walmart Foundation. The Bucks County nonprofit works to help families and individuals dealing with issues that range from socio-economic strife to medical problems.

The grant money was secured by Senator Frank Farry and Representative Joe Hogan.

“It is because of partnerships such as these, that we are able to meet a wide range of critical needs including homelessness, mental illness, hunger and isolation for more than 50,000 people each year,” the organization said online.

The organization has been in operation for over 65 years and is a member of United Way of Bucks County and Social Current. They are also fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation.
