NY Post: Recently Sold Home in Mt. Airy Came with Unique Addition: Cemetery in Backyard
A recently sold home in the heart of Philadelphia came with a unique addition: a cemetery in its backyard, writes Mary K. Jacob for the New York Post.
The recent listing provided a video tour of the home that ended with a shot of the cemetery. The video has since been posted on TikTok and has managed to rack up over 2.3 million views.
However, the cemetery obviously was not spooky enough to scare away prospective buyers, as the property was already in contract by the time the video was posted on the popular social media site.
The home, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms, received an offer for $325,000 just a week after it went up for sale. The deal closed on February 14, with a final sale price of $317,500.
An early, posted description of the dwelling did not specifically mention the cemetery.
It did, however, include that the Mt. Airy home “has been completely renovated” and includes an open-concept floor plan.
Additional features such as a finished basement. floating stairs, and deck were mentioned in the sales description — but not the headstone-dotted view.
