Bucks County Musician Remixes Famous Leonard Cohen Song to Celebrate the Eagles

The musician's song blew up on the internet.

A Bucks County musician has reworked a famous song in celebration of the Philadelphia Eagles making their way to the Super Bowl. Jillian Melle wrote about the singer for 6 ABC.

Jamie Stem, a musician from Doylestown, recently reworked the Leonard Cohen classic ‘Hallelujah’ as a way of honoring his favorite football team. The video blew up online, and now the Bucks County native is something of an internet sensation.

“I waited until right after the 49ers game because I was superstitious. Everybody’s like ‘You gotta write it!’ So right after they beat them, I sat and wrote it in 10-15 minutes,” he said.

The song is now a hit, just days away from the big game. Bucks County residents and fans outside of the area are looking at the unique cover as a hopeful sign that fans will remain faithful to the team, especially as they make their way to the big game.
