The speaking engagement taught students important lessons in finance and business.

A Bucks County school district recently hosted a speaking engagement to teach students the impact of having financial knowledge.

Bensalem High School, a part of the Bensalem Township School District, just held an event for their students where financial advisor and teachers gave talks on important financial topics like accounting and entrepreneurial practices.

“On December 2nd, BHS Business Department teacher, Mr. Tessler hosted guests from Deloitte Financial Services to speak with approximately 150 students in our Personal Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship classes,” the school district said online. “They were engaged and learned a lot!”

As part of a well-rounded education, finance and economics are becoming more and more of an important topic and skillset to prepare students for life outside of school. Events like these aid students in being able to make wise financial decisions and better themselves through smart economic practices.
