The Bucks County franchise has reemerged in the city, with plenty of new options for hungry customers.

After a devastating few years due to the pandemic, a Bucks County donut chain is coming back in Philadelphia with more options than ever. Emma Dooling wrote about the comeback in the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Factory Donuts Coffee’N Chicken, formerly known as just Factory Donuts, was once a common spot for donut lovers in the Bucks County area. Despite their success, they saw the same fate as so many other businesses during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ultimately, they ended up closing all of their local shops.

It was at the end of 2020 when the chain was purchased by Phoenix Nexus, a Langhorne-based business solutions company.

Under the supervision of founder and COO Nandish Patel, the company made plans to open in the city, with food options like chicken sandwiches added to the menu. Those plans are now coming to fruition, as the Philadelphia location starts to open for local customers.

“The bottom line is, we just used the skeleton of the brand, we didn’t use anything else,” Patel said.
